With the Stats and Echoes on any given piece of equipment being subject to randomization, it's only natural for there to be a method by which players can try and steer said randomness in their favor. In Soul's Remnant, that mechanism exists in the form of the many different types of Souls you can throw at an item to make it into how you want it. After all, so long as all the lines on an item are not locked, you can technically use an infinite number of souls on any item! Hahahahahahaha.
May your stockpile of Souls have a plentiful Remnant after every session of rerolling~
Changing Things

After using a soul, it is removed from your inventory as its effect takes hold on the equipment you used it on. You will receive a message telling you what exactly transpired.
In order to use a soul on an item, you must go into your inventory and then drag the soul over the piece of equipment you wish to change.
+ Dragging the soul with Left Click will make it so you only use one soul.
+ Right Clicking on the soul will make it easier to use multiple souls in a row, simply by clicking the left mouse button over the piece of equipment repeatedly. Right Click again to stop using Souls.
Fusing Things
Transitive Souls deserve their own section, seeing as how destroying the wrong item is a mistake nobody wants to make.
Yes, using a Transitive Soul means destroying an item. It will be removed from your inventory completely. Not weakened, not changed. You are destroying an item to pass its Echoes onto another item.
Also, lines upgraded by Gems do not carry over. What that means is you cannot use Transitive Souls to create a crazy +9000 item. The only things that moved are the lines you rolled and the quality at which you rolled them.
Furthermore.
Keep in mind that the maximum value an Echoes line can have is dependent on the item itself. A Ruby (Red) quality line of Soul Crystal Find on a stone weapon will have a lower value than a Gray quality line on an Inverse weapon. If you get yourself an amazing stone weapon with 5 beautiful Ruby (Red) quality Echoes lines, the maximum value of those lines will not increase if Transitive'd onto a higher level item. It goes the same in the opposite direction as well. Transitive'ing a high level item into a low level item will not grant the Echoes values of a high level item to that low level item.
Be careful when using a Transitive Soul. It's a very useful Soul, but use it wrong and you'll wish you hadn't!
Soul Types
Energetic Soul: When the item has less than two Echoes lines, add one line per soul usage until the item has two Echoes lines. After that, Energetic Souls will reroll the first two Echoes lines on the item with each use.
Ambitious Soul: When the item has less than four Echoes lines, add one line per soul usage until the item has four Echoes lines. After that, Ambitious Souls will reroll the first four Echoes lines on the item with each use.
Transcendent Soul: When the item has less than five Echoes lines, add one line per soul usage until the item has five Echoes lines. After that, Transcendent Souls will reroll all five Echoes lines on the item with each use.
Primordial Soul: Randomizes the chosen Echoes line.
Turbulent Soul: Changes the quality of all Echoes lines.
Chaotic Soul: Changes the quality of Stats, randomizes all Echoes lines, and for weapons it also changes Element Type.
Eternal Soul: Select one Echoes line and lock it for the next 3 Souls uses, making sure the line isn't changed while locked.
Transitive Soul: Destroy Item 1 in order to move its Echoes onto Item 2.
