The Grappling Hook is a reusable item that shoots out a rope that attaches to any terrain it makes contact with. The player can swing from the rope by moving horizontally and adjust its length by moving vertically.

The main use of the Grappling Hook is to gain access to all of the maps to the right of the caves via swinging across the gap to land on top of the tall cliff at the end of Caves 3. The only other way to cross this gap is with the skill Dash Strike.

• There are two other grappling hooks: Seashine Hook and Avenger's Hook, both of which have increased range and different rope colours.
• There is a bug where you can gain massive velocity by releasing your Grappling Hook at the same time as using Dash Strike.
