General Description
Invisibility makes it so that you can still gain aggro from higher level monsters and that they will chase you and shoot projectiles at you, but you won't take any damage while you're invisible.
The buff you receive after invisibility is called "Surprise Attack", which grants % Global Damage. This means it will help increase the damage of all your skills, especially those that have multiple types of scaling!
"Surprise Attack" is a skill that you will have a hard time getting 100% uptime on. Even at higher levels, you need quite a bit of Attack Speed to make that pipe dream a reality.
So if you decide to add Shadow Step to your build, you should stay aware of when "Surprise Attack" is active and when it is not, and time your cooldowns accordingly!
In-Game Description
Turn invisible, evading all attacks and gain 6(+0.3/lv) movement speed and 3(+0.15/lv) jump. Using any skill will remove invisibility. After invisibility ends, deal 8%(+4.2%/lv) increased damage for a short period of time.
